Progress continues to be made on this massive new attraction coming to Universal’s Islands of Adventure:
The most obvious progress that was made on Kong was clearly the weirdo-scaffolding structure from last week’s update! It looks like it could be a number of things but I think a morphed skull/face is my best guess.
Still I do feel like I see some finger-like shapes in there. Any King Kong fans out there have a better guess?
Don’t worry, I won’t let that new rockwork go unnoticed. As we have come to expect, the rockwork looks absolutely great!
The King Kong entrance facade still looking spiffy.
The main building to the right also had a ton of work being done on it.
I see one door going in there, but your guess is as good as mine if it is an entrance to an indoor queue or if that will just be a maintenance door.
Still a copious amount of groundwork to be done, too.
Here is a solid overview of what the front area currently looks like.
From Camp Jurassic you can see that the formerly wooden bridge is now getting some concrete poured over it. I think we are going to see some type of moat in front of the main backdrop.
The trellises being built are most certainly going to be more of the finger-like structures seen on other parts of the backdrop wall. I’m sure these will continue across the entirety of the building wall.
Here is a closer look at the structures coming out.
That concludes this week’s update! Thanks for checking in and a special thanks to those of you who continue to help us out on social media platforms. Have a good week everyone, we look forward to updating you on the construction of King Kong again next weekend!
