King Kong: Reign of Skull Island continues to be built at a noticeable rate:
Tons of work has been done to the top of building on the far right of the site. This part continues to get work done on it as well.
I would have to assume that this will mostly just be some scenic buildout of the buildings exterior.
The “main entrance” of the humongous backdrop wall.
I cannot get enough of the rockwork on the backdrop… who should I be thanking for this beautiful structure?
Of course I should be thanking Nassal! These are the guys that are responsible for all the rockwork, interior queue themeing, and themed retail at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Needless to say, Nassal offer extremely high-quality thematic content and they also happen to be Orlando-based. Check out some more of their awesome work by clicking here.
All of this wood and other material is new since our last update.
But the most noticeable piece of progress is the entrance facade. You can see in this picture that the rockwork for it is progressing nicely.
I am not expecting much to be revealed through this picture, but you can tell that what was once just scaffolding is now starting to be solid rockwork. I fully expect this entrance to be breathtaking when it is done.
New angle that I got near the entrance facade showing what I assume will be the queue entrance.
Lots of groundwork being done just like the last update showed.
How impending does this ride already look?
I cannot wait for this wall to be gone!
That’ll do it for this week’s construction update. Be sure to check out the other two construction updates by clicking here. As always, thank you for checking out our blog and we hope to continue to provide Kongstruction updates as this attraction’s construction progresses.
