When did it become November? Time has been passing at an insane rate for me, but here is the current state of what Universal’s next big attraction looks like:
I feel pretty confident in saying that this is part of the overflow queue. It makes sense to me since the part right before this little loop is wider then the path around the loop, meaning it’ll probably be split via chain-link queue rails.
As to what this concrete slab might eventually be, I have no idea. Perhaps a few switchbacks? Maybe lockers? At this point it is all speculation so your guess is as good as mine.
Here is some knee wall that may eventually act as a barrier between the main path and the attraction queue.
That center scenic element is nearing completion by the looks. I wonder what the weird blue tint is caused by.
The site was very active today. Another new element to take note of is on the steel I-beam structure. It’ll probably just be another beautiful detail to the attraction.
Another piece of evidence that the overflow queue will head over to the left side of the construction site is this photo here. You can see the path split down the middle where the worker on the left is standing.
I always get this shot and you can clearly see the rockwork is slowly creeping up the steel wire-frame structure.
Tons of work happening on what I am speculating to be the interior queue.
Another look at the work being done on the interior queue.
Nerd shot of the rockwork. One of the best things about blogging about this construction is finally editing the pictures because I always seem to see something I didn’t notice when I am at the park. To me, that looks like a torch coming out of the center of the rockwork element. This entry facade is going to be epic.
